Endowment
The Gadsby's Tavern Museum Society (GTMS) has launched an endowment fund to support the long-term viability of the museum. You can join our first president who supported Gadsby’s Tavern in both the 18th and the 21st centuries and make your contribution to Gadsby’s preservation and educational programming.
Contributions to the endowment are welcome from individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and other grantors. Thanks to a number of generous donors, the original goal of $100,000 has been achieved, so the Endowment will start providing funds to our Gadsby's Tavern Museum in 2023. Based on this success a new goal has been set at $250,000 to assure an expanded regular funding stream, which will help preserve Alexandria's historic landmark and support its program and services. Please consider Gadsby’s historical preservation and education programming in your will or trust. If you have any questions regarding wills or trusts, please consult your tax adviser.
