Spring Fling 2023
Founders & Flowers
On APRIL 22, GTMS hosted an "Evening of Jazz & Silent Auction" fun to benefit the Gadsby's Tavern Museum Society Endowment Fund at Gadsby's Tavern Museum. By holding our party there, we were keeping alive the tradition of entertain and hospitality originally established by John Gadsby. As you can see by the pictures below, a fine time was had by all while we were supporting the needs of Alexandria's historic gem, Gadsby's Tavern Museum.
Guests were welcomed to the Museum by cheerful Spring 18th and 19th century tunes probably familiar to many of the Founders and their families performed by Gadsby's Tavern Museum's frequent entertainers Marty on flute and Steve on fiddle. In the Ballroom the Yvette Spears Jazz Quorum entertained our guests who munched on Spring-like hors d'oeuvres and signature Hibiscus Champagne cocktails. The Assembly Room (once the largest room in all of late 18th century Alexandria) guests browsed another superb Silent Auction and Raffle offering interesting items and exciting experiences.
Many thanks also to our large number of Sponsors, Supporting Companies, and Donators.
Missed the party but still want to
