GTMS Pet Brick Contest Winners

As part of the campaign for renovating Gadsby's historic Ice Well, GTMS sponsored a contest involving decorating a Bicentennial Brick which was used in the 1970s renovation and removed to prepare for the current improvements. These pictures don't do justice to the 3-dimensional works of art and craft, but you can click the pictures to enlarge.

Calvert Anne Brick of the Alexandria Bricks
“Calvi” to her friends
Calvi has worked hard at Gadsby’s Historic Ice Well for decades. But it gets cold there, and she gets chilled, and she’s not as young as she used to be. Calvi has always admired hand-knit clothing. So she asked her Michelle to create a custom-fitted sweater in her favorite (royal) purple palette. Clavi looks forward to modeling her new warm knitwear for all her old friends at Gadsby’s.
